GEORGE Bush suffered a major setback yesterday when a key committee of the U.S. Congress delivered a scathing attack on his justification for invading Iraq.

The powerful House Intelligence Committee slammed the evidence the CIA used to justify war as 'outdated, circumstantial and fragmentary'.

Calls for the resignation of CIA director George Tenet are expected to mount as a result.
