THE general verdict on Channel 4's fictional drama, The Deal, about the relationship between Tony Blair and Gordon Brown in the Eighties and Nineties - when New Labour was created - is "good drama, bad history". But leaving aside the invented conversations and made-up plot lines, rerunning the news footage of Labour in the Eighties does the party - and the country - a huge service in reminding us of the ghetto we left behind.
