Sep. 30--Georgia-Pacific Corp. is cutting nearly 200 jobs from its Norwalk facility as it consolidates customer service operations in Green Bay, Wis., and Atlanta.
"We have, in the past month or so, moved about 160 jobs from Norwalk," said spokeswoman Robin Keegan. According to Keegan, by the end of the year, it will have moved approximately 160 jobs to Atlanta and 30 to Green Bay. The Connecticut Department of Labor on Monday posted a notice of 153 layoffs on its WARN Web site, named for the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act. Companies are required ...
