BOSTON, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Colorectal cancer is the second leading cancer killer (after lung cancer), but it is also the most preventable, according to the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS). With the national Colossal Colon Tour -- a free exhibit and education program that features a 40-foot-long, four-foot-high crawl-through replica of the human colon -- in Boston from October 15-18, local colorectal surgeons are taking this opportunity to talk with residents about colorectal cancer and the significant health benefits of early detection and treatment.
