Sep. 30--The union that represents editorial, advertising, circulation and support workers at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch is mounting a billboard campaign to call attention to a key issue in its contract talks with the company.
The billboards, which are scheduled to go up Wednesday, bear this message: "The Post-Dispatch wants to Bust its Unions. Hypocrisy? You Bet!"
The St. Louis Newspaper Guild is protesting management's call for an "open shop" provision in the labor contract the two sides are negotiating. The change would allow employees in job classifications covered by the ...
