SAN DIEGO, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Society of Therapeutic Radiologists and Oncologists (ASTRO) has elected Scripps Clinic radiation oncologist Prabhakar Tripuraneni, M.D., F.A.C.R, as its new President-elect.
Dr. Tripuraneni is currently the head of Radiation Oncology and an Associate Director of Green Cancer Center of Scripps Clinic. He has been active in ASTRO ( http://www.astro.org/ ) since 1982 serving on numerous committees and task forces and is currently the Senior Editor of ASTROnews as well as chairing the Information Technology and Resource Development committee.
