HANOI, Sept 30 Asia Pulse - The government has been taking a close look at the problems plaguing co-operatives and considering measures to solve them.
Unavailability of funds and bad debts top the list of woes at the country's collectives. But that could change with new plans announced by the government and the approval of some others, now in the pipeline.
A Ministry of Finance official said co-operatives would now be allowed to borrow up to VND1 billion (US$65,000) from provincial small - and medium-sized businesses funds to enhance their business.
