Fifth generation of Dilmaghanis takes carpet business to new heights
SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- When Mehdi Dilmaghani came to the United States in the early 1920s and established Dilmaghani & Co. as the wholesale distribution arm of the Persian family carpet business, he didn't realize the company one day would offer one of the largest inventory selections of Oriental rugs in the industry.
Today, Dennis Dilmaghani, who joined the Scarsdale-based company in 1970, marks the fifth generation in the family business. He continues to take the company in new directions, pioneering marketing innovations in the carpeting industry and setting the standard for quality.
