On the catch-up-from-vacation menu today: Sour milk, piccolo repeat and tomato juice.
* On milk. A column two weeks ago detailed Traci Strand's efforts to find out why her Swiss Valley milk tasted funny. The company said it was because the cows switched feed and because of light "oxidization." Strand said that was too pat of an answer.
Turns out more than just a few people had that strange taste after drinking the milk, which was purchased at Woodman's and had a Sept. 14 expiration date. Others just didn't buy Swiss Valley's excuses.
