LAUREL, MISS. -- Sanderson Farms Inc. has reported increased earnings and sales for its third fiscal 2003 period and three quarters, attributing its performance to improved chicken pricing.
For its quarter ended July 31, Sanderson Farms reported net earnings of $15.4 million, or $1.17 per share, on revenues that totaled $232.2 million, compared with $9.3 million, or 70 cents per share, on revenues that totaled $202.7 million in its third fiscal 2002 quarter.
For its three quarters, Sanderson Farms reported net earnings of $33.6 million, or $2.55 per share, on sales that totaled $617.5 million, compared with $22.3 million, or $1.66 per share, on sales that ...
