The Norwegian engineering and construction group Aker Kvaerner ASA said on Wednesday (1 October) that its unit Aker Stord had won a large installation contract from Statoil ASA.

The contract, valued at over NOK1.5bn, covered hook-up and installation work at the Snohvit development's land facility, the Melkoya gas plant, in northern Norway, Aker Kvaerner said.
