Stretching for success Girl expands her skills at prestigious Joffrey Ballet School.(Neighbor)

Twelve-year-old Aly Lubecker took a huge leap in her dancing career, after being taught by her mother since she was 2.

This summer Aly Lubecker, of Algonquin, was accepted into the prestigious Joffrey Ballet School of New York program.

"It was different because the classes were bigger, and the teachers are well-known around the country," said Aly, an eighth- grader at Algonquin Middle School.

She takes lessons at her mother's Hoffman Estates studio, Dancing Feet Dance Studios. There, she learns tap, jazz and ballet. Aly receives her main ballet instruction from teachers Tammy Patrician and Valerie ...
