Chlorinated paraffin is a chlorinated derivative of paraffin. It has the advantages of low volatility, good flame retarding, excellent electric insulation and low price and can be used as flame-retardant agent and PVC plasticizer. Among plasticizer product series in China, chlorinated paraffin is the third biggest variety in terms of output, second only to DOP and DBP.
PRODUCTION
China has more than 100 chlorinated paraffin producers today with a total capacity of 250 000 t/a, and an actual output of 150 000 tons. Major chlorinated paraffin varieties in China include chlorinated paraffin 42, 52 and 70. There are also chlorinated paraffin 13, 30, 40, 45, ...
