Oct. 3--Union advertising, circulation, support and editorial employees of the Post-Dispatch held a news conference Thursday outside the newspaper's headquarters downtown to call attention to their bid for a new labor agreement.

The St. Louis Newspaper Guild represents about 600 workers at the paper.

The Guild has rented five billboards along interstate highways in the St. Louis area, asserting that the Post-Dispatch wants to eliminate its unions.
