Oct. 3--A Boeing Wichita information systems manager warned employees this week of expected layoffs in their department.
"We've been expected to reduce our overhead labor," manager Larry Hampleman said in a memo. "We expect to have involuntary reductions."
About 240 people work in that department, Boeing Wichita spokesman Dick Ziegler said.
In-depth analysis of costs at Boeing Wichita has demonstrated a need to again reduce overhead, the memo said.
