CORVALLIS - Six Oregon State football players have chosen to leave the team, either to end their football careers or to transfer to another school in search of more playing time.
Ryan Kanekeberg, a former quarterback who had been moved to linebacker, will pursue a professional baseball career. He was a draft choice of the Pittsburgh Pirates as a high school senior. Also concluding his football career was backup cornerback Shamon Jamerson, who graduated at the end of spring term.
