Sharp Corporation reiterated its full-year earnings forecasts on 2 October 2003. Hopes that the figures may be revised were sparked by news that group net profit is forecast to jump by 18 per cent during the September 2003 half-year, to 27 billion yen ($US244.1 million). Group operating profit is expected to rise by 18 per cent during the period, to a record 58 billion yen.
