VeriSign Inc and the Internet Corp for Assigned Names and Numbers yesterday traded more stern words over VeriSign's controversial Site Finder service, ahead of a public meeting on the subject, scheduled for this morning.

VeriSign, which temporarily suspended Site Finder on Friday after a demand from ICANN, hit back at the domain name technical management body, saying it had acted outside its remit. The firm made some thinly veiled legal threats.
