Kim Lintner was on a long bicycle ride, training for the recent Ironman triathlon in Madison, when her mind seized on her vision of the perfect ice cream.

It would be vanilla with a ribbon of peanut butter, fudge and caramel. And its name would be Union Utopia.

"I was starving, and having fantasies about the perfect thing to satisfy that," said Lintner, 26, who learned Sunday that the scoop of her dreams was named Memorial Union's 75th anniversary ice cream, defeating four other contenders (Terrace Chairy, Rathskeller Razzleberry, Never Terrace Apart, and Der Banana Splitskeller).
