DALLAS, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- In Texas, breast cancer is the second highest leading cancer among women. In 2003, an estimated 10,508 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to occur in Texas and of those cases, 2,432 women are expected to lose their battles to the disease.
In conjunction with October being National Breast Cancer Awareness month, Procter & Gamble has teamed up with local area retailers to sponsor Dallas Breast Cancer Awareness Days, on-site events, which increase breast cancer awareness and offer early detection services to medically underserved women in Texas.
