On the second play of the game, South Eugene quarterback Andrew Downes threw a 12-yard pass to Matt Bramow.
"After that first catch, I had a feeling it could be a breakout game," Bramow said.
The Axemen followed Bramow's hunch, as the senior receiver caught 14 passes for 279 yards and three touchdowns in South's 41-19 win over Lebanon on Friday night at South Eugene High School.
South Eugene (3-2 overall, 2-2 league) moved over .500 for the first time since 1999 with its third straight victory.
