Oct. 8--ARLINGTON, Texas--Arlington Memorial South Medical Center will expand and change its name after its purchase Monday by a joint venture that includes more than 60 area physicians.
Texas Health Resources, the hospital's previous owner, retains a 50 percent stake in the 4-year-old, 190,000-square-foot facility at 801 W. Interstate 20. The physician group, which includes 34 doctors at Urology Associates of North Texas, will own 45 percent, and Irving-based Mat-Rx Development of Arlington LLP will own 5 percent and manage the property.
