The fight is not unlike the struggle between Godzilla and King Kong. Xerox Ventura Publisher, formerly enshrined in the DOS/GEM world, managed to roll out a fully Windows 3.0-ready edition in July 1990, while PageMaker, the long-time Windows publisher, offered only a pitstop patch until March 1991. But frustrated PageMaker users can stop making do with spit-and-duct-tape fixes. PageMaker 4.0 is much more Windows 3.0 compatible than PageMaker 3.01, and brings powerful new features onto the streets.
