AMC, which operates the American Movie Classics channel on cable and satellite networks, and Falcon Picture Group have signed a multiyear licensing agreement to produce and distribute AMC-branded DVD movie and TV collections.

The first offerings, due in stores Oct. 1, will include six boxed sets of four horror films each arriving just in time for Halloween. Each set ($9.99 each) includes four movies on two discs, as well as bonus content--cast information, trivia and factoids, and plot summaries--culled from AMC's movie companion database.
