NEW YORK -- Michael Kors Inc. is continuing to recruit a star lineup for its new Michael launch, naming Gia Castrogiovanni as president of the Michael women's division on Monday.
Castrogiovanni, who resigned as chief operating officer of Mossimo Inc. last week, confirmed she will join Michael Kors next Monday in the new role. She has an extensive history with the designer, having launched the original Kors bridge collection in the Nineties, as well as with the new owners of the company, Lawrence Stroll and Silas Chou, when she was vice president of sales for the launch of the Tommy Hilfiger women's collection in 1996.
