A fter yet another Britain in Bloom award for Balsall Heath, the residents who live there need no one to remind them of the strides they have made.
Three years ago, a regional bronze award was bestowed on the district, a year later a silver, and in 2002 a gold, which paved the way for last week's national accolade, a bronze award in the national competition's urban community category.
