PARIS -- TexWorld is for sourcing. Premiere Vision is for style. And although you could quibble about overlap, that pretty much sums up TexWorld versus PV, its more famous, more fashionable crosstown competitor.
Plus or minus a day, both shows take place on the outskirts of Paris at the same time. (TexWorld is out at La Defence, under the Grand Arche; PV is out in Villepinte on the way to the airport.) So, last month, when word got out that two exhibitors from Brazil and a dozen from Turkey -- traditional TexWorld stalwarts -- had "defected" to PV, buyers started buzzing.
