"MAY the curse of God and his angels and prophets be upon them all." Ayatollah Khomeini's will violently comminated Saudi Arabia's royal family, along with the United States and the Soviet Union. In early June, on the second anniversary of the ayatollah's death, President Ali Akbar Rafsanjani piously declared the old man's ideas to be "eternal and everlasting". Nevertheless, the new Iran's relations with the once-cursed Saudis grow chummier every day.
