A SHAKE-UP of how senior nurse managers are graded and paid has been announced by the Department of Health (DoH).
It is consulting on proposals that will see the creation of three pay bands covering basic salary ranges currently between 38,000 [pounds sterling] and 150,000 [pounds sterling].
There are no fixed points or increments in each band. It will be down to NHS employers to assign pay ranges for individual managers based on a suggested scoring system that takes into account the size and complexity of the organisation.
