Oct. 10--RALEIGH, N.C.--Midway Airlines reached a tentative labor agreement with its pilots Thursday, affording the bankrupt carrier at least two more weeks in the air.
Just minutes before a court-imposed deadline, Midway agreed to retain a contract that guarantees current pay and benefits for six more years. In return, the local council of the Air Line Pilots Association agreed to fly a wider range of aircraft.
