FORT WORTH, Texas _ Arie Luyendyk Jr. wants his first Cowboy hat. He may get that chance.
Luyendyk, the son of legendary Indy driver Arie Luyendyk Sr., qualified for the pole Friday in the Menards Infiniti Pro Series dreamerscandles.com 100, and with a victory, it would earn him a Texas souvenir to take back home to Arizona.
It was Luyendyk's second pole of the year, and it came with a new engine. Luyendyk enters Saturday's race seventh in the standings and looking for his first victory of the year in the season finale.
