Scottsdale, Ariz. -- When Nicole Reyes graduated from college in 2002, she knew it was time to figure out what she wanted to do with her life. She started by going to Japan for three months.
Reyes had never been to Japan, but she had long loved its art, architecture and culture.
While there, she discovered her favorite part of the Japanese culture--the kimono.
"Kimonos are made with many layers of colorful fabrics in different patterns and textures," said Reyes. "They represent the history and depth of the Japanese culture. I became fascinated with them and wanted to figure out a way to incorporate them with my other interests."
