Troops stationed in Baghdad, Iraq, received a sweet surprise from home--more than 300 dozen ears of sweet corn from residents and businesses in Iowa. "Operation Sweet Corn" was led by the Iowa National Guard and orchestrated by The Integer Group, Des Moines, Iowa, with the help of clients Garst Seed Company and RUAN Transportation Management Systems. "What started as a request from the Iowa National Guard to find a means for them to transport a pallet of sweet corn to Iraq soon turned into a truckload," says Tom Gahm, vice president of public relations at The Integer Group. ...
