Credit union staff and volunteers from New York and New Jersey plan to stand outside the "Today Show" studio in a bid to get International Credit Union Week recognized by the morning news and talk show.
According to the New York Credit Union League, credit unions have tried to get on the "Today Show" several times in the past on International Credit Union Day, with varying degrees of success. Last year, a couple dozen credit union representatives were on hand at the studios during the broadcast and not only did they get to talk to Al Roker but they even got on camera three times during the show.
