Baby boomers have brushed, flossed, polished and whitened their teeth like no generation before them.

For that, they are rewarded with having prettier smiles and the privilege of retaining most of their natural teeth as they reach old age.

No denture jokes for this bunch, please.

"I have never lost a permanent tooth, aside from having my impacted wisdom teeth removed," says Diana Hopper, a 53-year-old Irving, Texas, resident, who credits her dental success to twice-annual teeth cleanings, an avoidance of sugar and nightly flossing. "I want to hold on to my natural teeth forever," she says.
