DALLAS _ Silicone breast implants _ beloved by some, pilloried by others _ may be poised to make a comeback.
In the last 11 years, the use of silicone implants has been limited mainly to cancer patients undergoing breast reconstruction. The devices have been off the U.S. market since 1992, when the Food and Drug Administration heeded the concerns of thousands of women who believed the implants caused assorted health problems.
