WASHINGTON, Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- On October 23, 2003 the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare will hold a briefing on the 40th anniversary of the Mental Retardation Facilities Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) Construction Act. The briefing will be held in the Gold Room (2168) of the Rayburn office building at 9:00 AM.
Experts in the field will present the following topics:
* The complicated history of CMHCs and the fiscal structure of the
original act, and what congress can do to adjust current policy to
further aid the behavioral healthcare industry; and, the numbers of
