VeriSign Inc, in an often heated debate at a meeting in Washington DC yesterday, presented evidence it says refutes claims that its Site Finder service is a threat to the internet, and challenged critics to produce evidence to the contrary.
In several presentations before the security and stability advisory committee (SECSAC) of the Internet Corp for Assigned Names and Numbers, VeriSign executives said that most of the problems identified with Site Finder are minor and easily addressed.
