moving into a care home
A major transition, not only for older people but also for those close to them, is moving into a care home. 'Some people say "don't ever put me in a home" and relatives try to keep them out of a home for as long as possible, but there comes a time when they can no longer struggle on,' explains Julia Burton-Jones, family involvement in homes project worker at the Relatives and Residents Association (R&RA).
