Diamond Ferri warns anyone within earshot that this is much deeper than a Boston College-Syracuse grudge. His distaste for the Eagles, or at least some of them, can be traced to a bitter high school football rivalry in his home state of Massachusetts.
Ferri, a junior who will start at strong safety for the Orangemen (3-2) when BC (4-2) visits the Carrier Dome at noon Saturday, scored 54 touchdowns and rushed for 4,500 yards during three seasons as a tailback for Everett High School.
