Oct. 15--TWIN FALLS, Idaho--Sharing an airline's financial risk is still the name of the game for communities seeking new air service, a consultant told Twin Falls leaders Tuesday.
That's generally accomplished with a revenue guarantee, a pot of money the community sets aside to make up any shortfalls the airline incurs in that market. Some cities across the nation -- including Hailey last year and Lewiston this year -- have secured federal dollars to help make those deals with airlines.
