Oct. 16--The San Diego chapter of the AeA announced the winners of its 10th annual High Tech industry awards yesterday, and for Richard Campbell, judging the top company in each category has become a more rational process.
"We're not seeing the fascination with dot-coms that we've seen in past years," said Campbell, a San Diego patent lawyer who was chairman of the six-judge panel that selected this year's winners. "It's a lot easier to explain to people why these companies make money."
