Information obtained from 10,000 11 to 15-year-old children in 321 schools in England indicated a drop in drug taking between 2001 and 2002 (from 20 per cent to 18 per cent).

Cannabis was the most frequently reported illicit drug taken in file last year, used by 13 per cent.
