Iddon introduces retrofittable control

A NEW extruder control system from Iddon Brothers is operational in the company's test facility at Leyland, and is being demonstrated to customers. It can be retrofitted to existing extruders, both Iddon's and others, and provides a wide range of control facilities.

The system is based on a programmable controller, with a free-standing control station incorporating a 12-inch 6-colour screen and keypad for parameter adjustment. It provides a complete overview of the extruder's operation, including power consumption, temperatures, and pressures, and does away with the need for orthodox temperature controllers as the zones are monitored ...
