Federal regulators are investigating the business relationship between Qwest Communications and a vendor named Redback Networks, according to recent regulatory filings.

New Jersey-based Tellium recently disclosed that a federal grand jury, the U.S. attorney's office and the Securities and Exchange Commission were investigating Qwest's relationship with Tellium. According to Tellium, the SEC is examining Qwest's deals with 11 vendors.
