The new leader of Northern Kentucky's larg-est private senior-citizens care corporation has his work cut out for him -- cutting expenses to plug a $1 million hole in the organization's budget.

Stopping the flow of red ink will be one of new CEO Bob Long's first priorities for Baptist Life Communities, which operates the Baptist Towers and other homes for the elderly, said the Rev. Larry Davis, a member of the corporation's board of trustees.
