Oct. 19--With 60,000 good-paying jobs -- most of them new -- but only 7,000 older homes, plus enough money to reinvent itself to be whatever it wants to be, Auburn Hills is Oakland County's hot new spot for real estate development.
The upcoming changes will plug the big hole in the heart of Oakland County's booming Automation Alley. They include:
--Building 1,300 more homes for the people who work in Auburn Hills -- two-thirds of them aimed at new workers who are young and upscale.
