GREEN BAY -- The $700 million recently spent on stadiums for the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers left behind starkly different images: The Packers' rebuilding of Lambeau Field went smoothly. The Brewers' new Miller Park suffered problem after problem.
One, it seems, basks in sunshine and warmth. The other, bathed in clouds and chill.
Mike Duckett, a consultant who worked on both projects, said there were key differences in how they unfolded, how they were administered and how the taxpayers who helped foot the bill were involved - all factors in the stadiums' images today.
