Oct. 22--BEAUMONT, Texas--Catching the attention of passing motorists might be tougher in the booming Dowlen Road corridor than anywhere else in town, especially since the area has a tougher city sign ordinance.
"It's discriminatory against people all along Dowlen Road," said Charles Norman, owner of Norman Shoes and George Wilson. "Why don't they make everybody do it? I'd be glad to do it if everybody else in town did it."
