BOSTON, Oct. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading hepatologists and gastroenterologists will convene in Boston next week at the 54th annual meeting of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, October 24-28. Among the meeting topics will be the use of Pegasys(R) (peginterferon alfa-2a) and Copegus(R) (ribavirin, USP) to treat chronic hepatitis C in special populations, including African-Americans and patients with normal ALT (alanine aminotransferase) levels.
